Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 4 - 8 p.m., at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, and again on Friday, April 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, from 10 a.m. until an 11 a.m. funeral service. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark Rueth, Mike Rueth, David Pieper, Dean Pieper, Scott Lauenstein and Jeff Luber.

Beverly Mae Pieper was born May 3, 1928, in Loyal, to Arnold and Alma (nee Otto) Pieper. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at East Beaver School and Loyal High School. She married Arthur J. Olsen on Oct. 18, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. They worked and resided in the Loyal area until moving to Milwaukee in the fall of 1948. She worked several jobs in Milwaukee, including Sears & Roebuck and at a shoe factory, before they returned to Loyal in the spring of 1959. They bought a farm northwest of Loyal, which they operated until the spring of 1981. After selling the farm, they moved into Loyal, and she worked for the Loyal School District as a cook for several years. She had many interests, including spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crocheting, bowling, camping, playing sheepshead, and watching baseball on television. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was active in the TLCW and the adult fellowship, taught Sunday school, and made church banners. She was a former member of the Clark County Homemakers, and was treasurer of the mixed couples bowling league for many years.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Art, Loyal; three children, Audrey Olsen, Wausau, James A. (Sue) Olsen, Lubbock, Texas, and Bill (Dori) Olsen, Arpin; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marlene Lauenstein, Aurora, Colo., and Karen (Dave) Frike, Loyal.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Correen, in infancy; two sisters, Joyce Rueth and Delores Helm; and one brother, Delmar Pieper.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, is assisting the family with arrangements.
