w/flag STRATFORD - Leslie F. Lillge, 82, 209 West Walnut St., Stratford, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford. The Rev. Sue Eidahl will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the town of Eau Pleine in Marathon County where military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6352 of Stratford.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Sauter/Kundinger Funeral Home in Stratford and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.

Leslie was born Oct.19, 1922, in Wausau to Fredrick and Sadie (Thomson) Lillge. He was a 1940 graduate of Stratford High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He married Lorraine R. Boehm on April 21, 1947, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. He had been employed at Rollohome, Marshfield, Northern Star, Stratford and retired from Stratford Homes, Stratford. He was a member and usher of Zion Lutheran Church and had served as president of the church council. He was a member and past president of the Stratford Lions Club for the past 45 years with perfect attendance and was a recipient of the Lions Melvin Jones Award. He was a former village board member and a former Boy Scout leader.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, a son, Lowell (Susan) Lillge, Grafton; a daughter, Lynne (Rob) Frenchick, Hayward; and three grandchildren, Kristen (Sam) Bertsch, Nathan (Jenny) Lillge and Sadie (Jason) Remington.

He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Lorriane in infancy.

The family will designate a memorial in his name at a later date.
