Frey, Thelma E. (11 Nov. 1917 - 1 April 2005)

Thelma E. Frey 87, of Marshfield died Friday, April 1, 2005, at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. The Revs. Arthur Scottberg and Dave Mickelson will officiate. Family members will provide special music. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Thelma's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Friends May call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Hansen Funeral Home and also one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Frey was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Chili, a daughter of the late Maurice and Ila (Frasier) Rustad. She attended Lone Elm School in Chili.

Thelma was married to Jerry Hoag. They were later divorced. The former Thelma Rustad was united in marriage to Elmer W. Frey on June 7, 1947. Elmer preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1996.

Thelma was secretary/treasurer of Marshfield Homes until she and Elmer retired in 1973.

Mrs. Frey was a member of the McMillan 49ers and the dance club at Casa Loma. Some of Thelma's interests included cross-stitching and gardening.

Mrs. Frey is lovingly survived by her children, Kathy (Roger) Davis, Atlanta, Ga.; Joan Kissner, Marshfield; Ila (Tom) Haeflinger, Marshfield; Alonie (Henry) Zimmermann, Marshfield; Bill Frey, Marshfield, and Ric Frey, Marshfield; 20 grandchildren, Eric Davis, Greg (Tavisha) Davis, Jason Kissner, Jacki (Ron) Mushel, Daniel Haeflinger, David (Lisa) Haeflinger, Derek (Maria) Haeflinger, Debra Korslin, Krista (Steve) Blomberg, Kyle (Tina) Zimmerman, Kari (Steve) Edwards, Nathan, Sarah, Faith, Josiah and Ian Zimmermann, Jamie, Adam, Megan and Ryan Frey; 16 great grandchildren, Carrington and Tamia Davis, Alexis Mushel, Nathan and Celeste Haeflinger, Justin Haeflinger, Emily Korslin, Joel, Landon, Michaela and Olivia Blomberg, Haley and Dominic Zimmermann, Rachael, Allison and Alex Edwards; and two brothers, Keith (Nancy) Rustad, Wisconsin Rapids, and Guy (Evelyn) Rustad, Marshfield.

Memorials in Mrs. Frey name May be designated to St Joseph's In-Home Hospice program or the Marshfield Area Respite Center.

Thelma is further survived by two brothers, Keith (Nancy) Rustad, Wisconsin Rapids, and Guy (Evelyn) Rustad, Marshfield.

Preceding Thelma in death were a son-in-law, Jerry Kissner; daughter-in-law, Janice Frey; a brother, Carrol Rustad; granddaughter, Jennifer Davis; and a great-grandson, Orion Frey.

Memorials in Thelma's name May be designated to Saint Joseph's In-Home Hospice program or the Marshfield Area Respite Center.
