SPENCER -Helen Ewert, 84, of the village of Spencer died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Wells Nature View in Marshfield.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 23, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time April 23 at the church. Cremation Society of Wisconsin is assisting the family.

Helen Ewert

SPENCER - Helen Ewert, 84, of the village of Spencer died April 14, 2005, at Wells Nature View, 601 E. 21st St., Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer with Pastor Rose officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Private interment will be at a later time at Trinity Cemetery.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is assisting the family.

Helen was born Aug. 29, 1920, to Achille and Johanna (Morlet) Ampe. She attended Loyal schools, graduated from the Wisconsin Academy of Cosmetic Arts and was a beautician in Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield shops. Helen married Arlyn Ewert on July 12, 1941, and together they owned and operated a dairy farm at rural Unity for 25 years before moving to Spencer. While farming, they were members of St. John's Lutheran Church in Riplinger.

Helen enjoyed gardening, travel, cooking, baking, her flowers, playing cards, and her years of dancing with the Golden Squares Senior Citizens Square Dance group of Marshfield. She was a past member of the Homemakers Huddle Club of Clark County, the Ladies Aid Society at St. John's and the Spencer Garden Club. She also gave years of service as a 4-H leader and as a dedicated quilter at Trinity Lutheran Church. She made a difference in the lives she touched and will be greatly missed.

Helen is survived by her husband, Arlyn; one daughter, Sandrea (Jerry) Timm of Colfax; son, Jeffry (Sally) Ewert of Rockford, Ill., and son, Bradley Ewert of Eau Claire; sisters, Lucille Hohl, Ruth Gotter and Alice Reinertson; five grandchildren, Shelby (Phillip) Fader of Racine, Clayton (Kelly) Timm of Sand Creek,, Eric Timm of Los Angeles, Calif., Mary Alice Tsosie of Albuquerque, N.M., and Rhonda (Jim) Hall of Rockford, Ill.; nine great-grandchildren, Kylie and Jordan Fader, Alex and Maggie Timm, Allison and Alicia Waukau, Alissa Peters and Katelan and Matthew Hall; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials May be designated in Helen's name to Ministry Home Care Hospice Service at Marshfield.
