Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. - Services for Friedrich Neumann, 47, Curtiss, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss with the Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Neumann was pronounced dead on arrival Wednesday night at Hudson Memorial Hospital after he lost control of his semi-trailer truck and it rolled down a steep embankment on I-94 near Hudson. According to Wis. State Patrol, the right rear tandems came off an eastbound semi-trailer truck, crossed the median and hit the westbound Neumann vehicle’s windshield.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Withee and the VFW Post 865 of Abbotsford will conduct military rites at the graveside. Friends May call after 3 p.m. today at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen.

Mr. Neumann was born Feb. 16, 1930 in Romania. He came to the United States in 1951 and served with the U. S. Army from 1953-55. He married Johanna Halblander Oct. 6, 1956, in Chicago.

He moved to Route 1, Curtiss in 1953 and farmed in the Town of Mayville, Clark County. Later he worked for Allied Van Lines and for the past four years he has been employed by Everett Roehl Trucking Co. of Marshfield.

Mr. Neumann was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Abbotsford VFW Post 865.

Survivors include his widow, two sons, Thomas at home, and Ronald who is serving with the U. S. Navy in San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Linda and Lori Ann, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Hulda Sackmann of Niles, Ill., Miss Clara Neumann of Chicago, and Mrs. Roland (Elsie) Hake of Curtiss, and his mother, Mrs. Sophie Neumann of Curtiss.
