Wesenberg, Ferdinand (3 June 1854 - 6 Aug. 1933)

Ferdinand Wesenberg, an old resident of this locality, died Sunday evening, Aug. 6, at Neillsville Hospital where he has been a patient for about three weeks.

Deceased was born in Pommerin, Germany, June 3, 1854. He came to this county when he was 20 years of age and worked for a few years in Waukesha. He then came to Clark County and for a number of years lived in the town of Grant on Pleasant Ridge. He was there married to Etta Wilding, who died some years later.

In 1896 he was married to Della Campbell, who survives him.

After their marriage they settled on a farm in the town of Washburn which was their home until five years ago when they moved to Neillsville.

Mr. Wesenberg was a hard working man doing all that he could up to a few days before his final illness.

Besides his wife he leaves the following named children:

A son, Charles, by his first marriage, living in Eau Claire, Mich.; Bernice, Mrs. Clarence Salisbury, Pine Valley; August at home; Elizabeth, Duncan, Ill.; Wesley in Neillsville; Fred, Elmer, Albert, Robert and James at home; Mamie and Esther in Chippewa Falls. He laves also 9 grandchildren.

Two children were deceased.

The funeral is held today Wednesday, at the Gospel Taberacle, Rev. Nieve officiating.
