Rites Tuesday for Paul Beil

Injuries Fatal to Resident of Chili Saturday Morning

CHILI - Funeral services for Paul Beil, 71, Chili, who died Saturday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, following an injury received in an accident while cutting firewood, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church at Chili.

A falling tree pinned him to the ground for about three hours before he was found by his son-in-law and granddaughter. Help was summoned from the neighbors to remove him from under the tree and he was taken to the hospital. Burial will be made in the Yolo cemetery.

Mr. Beil was born March 29, 1891, in Sheboygan County and at the age of three, he moved with his parents to Potter where he received his education. At the age of 15, he moved to Lynn where he resided with his brother, the late Adolph Beil, working as a painter and paper hanger.

He was married Oct. 15, 1913, to Minnie Raske at the Lutheran church in Chili. After his marriage he resided on a farm near Chili. Mr. Beil was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Chili.

He is survived by his wife; a daugher, Mrs. Harland (Viola) Meissner, Chili; two sons, Warren Beil, Mesa, Ariz., and Melvin Beil, Chili; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Wertz, Potter. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
