Melody K. (Meissner) Dovenbarger, 30, Neenah, formerly of Chili, died Feb. 26, 1997 in Clearwater, Florida while on vacation.

Funeral services will be Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville with burial in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery.

She was born June 19, 1966 in Neillsville to Norman and Elaine (Ott) Meissner. She married Eric Dovenbarger July 7, 1984 at her parents' home. She attended East Fremont School, graduating from Marshfield High School in 1983.

After he education in Marshfield, she graduated from Horstschool of Esthiology in Minneapolis in 1983. From 1985-1987 she was a student at Minneapolis Medical Institute, graduating as a medical assistant.

She was employed for Marshfield Clinic at its satellite clinic in Chippewa Falls from 1988-93. In 1993 they moved to Neenah and lived there until her death.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Tyler, and Erica Dovenbarger, Neenah; four brothers, Edwin "Butch" (Sharon) Meissner, Chili, Jerry (Diane) Meissner, Chili, Steven Meissner, Chili, and David (Tammy) Meissner, Chili; one sister, Sandy Elaine Garrand, Marshfield; and her parents.

She was predeceased by her infant son Travis Dovenbarger and her grandparents.
