Brenner, Alvin (15 April - 13 May 2005)

Alvin Brenner, 74, of Curtiss died Friday, May 13, 2005, in an emergency room at Saint Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church of Tuesday. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Alvin Brenner

Curtiss -Alvin Brenner, 74, Curtiss, died Friday, May 13, 2005, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Emergency Room in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss. Rev. Karen Johnson will officiate.

Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss. Pallbearers will be Brian Sheets, Josh Bauer, Brad Wilke, Matthew Wilke, Doug Bauer and Todd Kaiser. Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Bauer.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.

Alvin was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Thorp to Alfred and Millie (Sorensen) Brenner. Alvin and Isabelle Stumpner were married Jan. 19, 1952, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Longwood. They farmed in Boyd, Unity, and Loyal until they moved to Curtiss in 1989.

He worked as a nurses aide at the Clark County Health Care Center. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss Lions, and Curtiss Community Club.

Alvin will be dearly missed by his wife, Isabelle; and his children, Janice Collins of Madison, Debbie (Jim) Sheets of Plymouth, Karen Brenner of Spencer, Susan (Doug) Bauer of Unity, and Shari (Todd) Kaiser of Spencer; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; his sister, Adelia Tollefson of Altoona; and his brother, Orville (Catherine) Brenner of Cadott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Diane; a son-in-law, Jim Collins; and a brother, Rodney.
