Death Notices

BIDDLE, Marvel A., 76, of Thorp died Tuesday at Oakbrook Health & Rehabilitation in Thorp.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard’s-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp.

Friends May call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thorp Funeral Home, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. rosary service.

Marvel Biddle

THORP - Marvel Ann Biddle, 76, of Thorp died March 9, 2004, at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Old St. Hedwig's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. rosary service Friday at Thorp Funeral Home.

She was born July 4, 1927, in Wisconsin to Clarence and Ann (Gallistel) Rhyner. She was married to Leland Biddle on Jan. 22, 1949, in Neillsville and they later divorced. She had been employed at various times by Thorp Farmers Store, I.T.T. in Thorp, Blue Moon Cheese Factory and the Clark County Health Care Center.

Surviving are her son, Terry (Linda) Biddle, Eau Claire; daughters, Penny (Chris Oelberg) Nussbaum and Candy (Jeff) Meeker, both of Thorp; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Audrey (Albert) Wonn and Carol (John) Nelson, both of Rockford, Ill.
