BERNELDA REINEKING WED TO R. E. NORDNESS

The chapel of the First Congregational Church was the scene Saturday at 2:30 pm, of the wedding of Miss Bernelda Elaine Reineking, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reineking, Doylestown, and Robert Elmer Nordness, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nordness, 2406 Gregory St.

The Rev. David Maitland performed the ceremony. Baskets of pink, white and rose peonies decorated the chapel for the service.

White marquisette formed the billowing overskirt and train of the bride?s hoop-skirted gown of slipper satin, styled with an off-the shoulder yoke of marquisette. A bonnet headdress of Chantilly lace held her fingertip veil which was bordered with the same lace. A white orchid with a shower of stephanotis covered the white Bible which she carried. Her father gave her in marriage.

Mrs. F. Thomas Cruse of Van Nuys, Calif., sister of the bride-groom, was the matron of honor. Her bustle-backed gown of white Celanese was worn over a crinoline skirt. Her floral headdress matcher her bouquet of red roses and rosebuds

Miss Jeanne Massey, the bridesmaid, wore a similar gown of white mousse line de sole. Her flowers were like Mrs. Cruse?s.

Harold Reineking, brother of the bride, attended Mr. Nordness as best man. The guests were ushered to their places by Deane Page and George Singer.

A reception for 150 guests was held in the Guild room of the church. On the night before the wedding, a dinner was served to members of the wedding party at the Blackhawk Country Club. Assisting at the reception were Janice and Joyce Trindal of Loyal, twins and childhood friends of the bride.

After a brief stay in northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Nordness will go to Denver, Colo. The bride chose for traveling a grey-beige gabardine suit with gold accessories.

The couple will be at home at 409 W. Wilson St., after July 5. The bride, who has been teaching in Middleton, plans to continue her teaching in the fall. Mr. Nordness, who attended the University of Wisconsin, is now employed at the Madison Municipal airport.
