Mrs. John Stochek died at her home south and west of Spencer about four and one-half miles on Sunday evening at 6:30, Jan. 10, 1932.
Mary Prusa was born in Bohemia in the year 1858. She was married to John Stochek fifty two years ago and to them seven children were born, all living at the present time. (Julia) Mrs. Zojieck of Chicago, Joe of Spencer, (Rose) Mrs. Joe Standl of Chicago, Frank at Mendota Hospital, (Mary) Mrs. Henry Mueller, Marshfield; John living at Wausau and Helen, Mrs. Albert Chamberlin, Spencer on the old home farm and with whom her parents were living the last years.
Mr. and Mrs. Stochek came to America thirty-eight years ago and lived for a few years in Chicago.
They then moved to Spencer and settled on the farm near there where they were living at the time of her death. She made many friends by her kind disposition who will miss her presence from their midst and the whole community will feel the loss of a good neighbor and together with her near relatives will mourn her departure.
The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Father Dorenback from St. John’s Catholic Church at Marshfield at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Interment was made in Hillside Cemetery, Mrs., Georgas as undertaker. The following acted as pall bearers: Albert Vanderhoof, Jay Vanderhoof, Ernest Krebs, Charley Rue, Albert Dietz, Joe Hlavach.
Those who carried the flowers were: Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof, Mrs. W. F. Reinheiner, Mrs. Dietz, Mrs. Henry Fisher.
