Brandt, Louis (22 JAN 1875 - 25 MAY 1906)
The death of Louis Brandt occurred at his home in the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis., at 10 o’clock Friday evening, May 25th, 1906 after an illness dating back over a year, when he was taken with some trouble with his bowels so that an operation was necessary. He had been operated on for the same trouble some three years before, but the old trouble seemed to come back again. The last one never seemed to heal and he was confined close to the house until the last three weeks before his death when he was obliged to take his bed.
Mr. Brandt was born In Sheboygan Jan. 22, 1875 and came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Brandt now deceased, to Clark County when he was but a year and a half of age, and has always lived on the old homestead since. He was married six years ago to Alvina Rossow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rossow, now of Dogtooth, N.D. He leaves besides his wife, a daughter five years old and a son two years of age. Two brothers, John H. and Herman, and three sisters, Mrs. W.H. Rossman, Freda Brandt, and Mrs. Fred Kuester, are also left to mourn his demise.
The funeral was held Sunday, May 27, from the home, conducted by Rev. H. Bruengger, the remains being laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
