McNelly, Gladys (Marriage - 18 NOV 1920)

Mr. Glynn Stoffel and Miss Gladys McNelly were united in marriage Thursday forenoon Nov. 18, 1920, at the Congregational Church, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stoffel living east of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. on Pleasant Ridge. He grew up on the farm, graduated from Neillsville High School. He enlisted in the navy during the war, and at its close came home and took a course in telegraphy and went into railroad work. At present he has the position of night operator at this station. He is a young man of exceptionally clean upright character, reliable and energetic. He is certain to succeed.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. McNelly of this city. For some time past she has been employed in the Woelffer Drug Store, and has a very wide acquaintance and is much admired by all who know her for her fine personality, pleasant ways and efficiency.

After a bountiful wedding dinner at the home of the bride’s parents, the young couple took the 11:30 a.m. train for a trip through the south part of the state.

No young people in Neillsville ever started married life with more abundant goo will and fairer prospects than they. We join in the general good wishes of these young people.
