Luchterhand, Lenore (21 Sep 1925 - 17 Sep 2002)

Lenore Luchterhand, 76, Granton, Clark County, Wis., died on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Burial was in the Town of Grant Cemetery. Lenore Widmann was born on Sept. 21, 1925, in the town of McMillan, Marathon County, to Walter and Ida (nee Ketelhud) Widmann. She was raised in Marshfield and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1943. She married Robert Luchterhand on Feb. 7, 1948. They lived in Marshfield for approximately two years before moving to a farm near Chili. While on the farm, she helped with the farm chores and also worked at Weyerhauser, Silvercoat, John H. Keel Photography and Neuendorf Transportation. They retired from farming in 1976 and built and moved to a house near Granton.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; two sons, Tom (Joyce) Luchterhand, Eau Claire, and Ken (Joanna) Luchterhand, Melrose; one daughter, Melody Fleisner, Appleton; three grandchildren, Lori (Mike) Schwichtenberg, Eau Claire, Nicole Fleisner, Sydney, Australia, and Lisa Phillips, Beaver Meadows, Pa.; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Viola (Jacob) Weigel, Marshfield, Lorraine (Ray) Kampa, Three Lakes, and Lucille (Harold) Knauf, Largo, Fla.

Preceding her in death were a son-in-law, Glen Fleisner; a granddaughter, Julia Fleisner; four brothers, Melvin, John and Donald Widmann and Herb Nickel; and one sister, Elizabeth. Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
