NEILLSVILLE - Richard R. Pretsch, 78, of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died Jan. 5, 2003 at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville.

There will be private family graveside services held at a later date.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.

As a young boy, Richard worked on a farm until entering the United States Army for two years. After his discharge, he farmed in the Shortville area. He then moved to Chicago and worked for A. B. Dick. He returned to the Neillsville area to retire.

Richard was married to Irma Bakka in 1960.

Survivors include three brothers, Walter Pretsch, of West Bend, Earl Pretsch, of Neillsville, and Jerry Pretsch, of Stratford; three sisters, Esther King and Arlene Jelinek, both of Neillsville, and Marie Cardarvlla, of West Bend.
