Carleton, Vera (22 JUN 1894 - 4 Nov 1918)

Mrs. T. V. Carleton died at the Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. Hospital Nov. 4, 1918, of the influenza followed by pneumonia, after a short illness. Deceased, whose maiden name was Vera Snyder was born in Neillsville Jun 22, 1894, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Snyder. She grew up here and attended the Neillsville schools to the third year of high school, and was married to T. V. Carleton Oct. 26, 1913. After their marriage they lived for some time at Reedsburg, and later at Adams. She leaves among the younger people here a large group of friends, who can hardly realize that she is gone. Only a few days ago she was among them in apparently the best of health, and her untimely death will be mourned by many.

She leaves her husband and little girl, Kathlyn May, three years old. She leaves also three sisters: Mrs. Nick Scherer, Edna and Lucille Snyder and two brothers: Ernest, with the army in France, and Charles, a small boy; both parents are dead.

The funeral will take place privately from Lowe's undertaking rooms Thursday. Services will be conducted by Rev. G. W. Longenecker.
