Jones, Samuel H. (Jan 1845 - 27 Sep 1919)

Samuel H. Jones, an old resident of the vicinity of Humbird, Clark County, Wis., died Sept. 27, 1919, aged 74 years and 8 months. For over fifty years Mr. Jones was a prominent character, operating a lumber mill with Levi Archer and others, and later farming. He married Miss Ada Cotton of Garden Valley in 1874. She died in 1914. They had one son, Durward, who was drowned when a young man.

Mr. Jones was long a member of the Masonic Order. The funeral was held at the Masonic temple in Merrillan.
