Green, George

George Green, who became the first postmaster of the village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), came in 1866. His record states that only one log house, that of A. A. Graves, being here. This May indicate that A. A. Graves and John Graves lived in the same house at first.

In 1870 Green had his first team and exchanged work with his neighbors. In 1871 he took Mary Taylor as his bride and went west but returned before long and worked in the sawmill.

Their daughter, Daisy, married S. H. Garvin.
