Revak, Carl R. (5 NOV 1926 - 30 Mar 2003)

Carl R. Revak, 76, Lynn, Clark County, Wis., died on Sunday, March 30, 2003, at his home. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to an 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, April 5, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery, Chili. Military rites will be accorded by Loyal American Legion Post #175.

Carl Richard Revak was born on Nov. 5, 1926, in Phillips, to Steve and Hermina (nee Simek) Revak. He served in the Navy from 1943-47. He married Marion Glissenderf in 1948. They later divorced. He married Mae Curtin-Barth in 1973. He served as deputy sheriff of Price County in Phillips for a number of years. He was also a milk hauler and worked for Laabs Cheese Factory. He spent 40 years working as a pulp cutter for Dunbars Loggers, Phillips, for Stickerts, Chili, and Larry Burrows, Coloma.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Revak; four children, Carol (Craig) Moore, Phillips, Cathy (Bill) Rzepecki, Phillips, Gary (Barb) Revak, Phillips, and Gene Revak, Phillips; six stepchildren, Robert (Kathy) Barth, Neillsville, Georgianna (John) Michalski, Greenfield, Bill (Barb) Barth, Granton, Randy (Ann) Barth, Chili, Lori (David) Krueger, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mark (Candy) Barth, Neillsville; 24 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Frank; and four sisters, Ann, Helen, Marge and Agnes.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three grandsons, Douglas Barth, Jeffrey Barth and Christopher Barth; six brothers, Steve, Rudy, Pete, Phil, Joe, and Tony; and one sister, Mary.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
