Bangle, Alvin J. (24 OCT 1915 - 24 FEB 2003)

WITHEEE - Alvin John Bangle, 87, Withee, Clark County, Wis.died Feb. 24, 2003, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery where graveside military rites will be held.

Maurina Funeral Home of Owen is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born Oct. 24, 1915, to Charles and Ella (Meyer) Bangle. He united in marriage to Margaret Smedgard on Nov. 8, 1941, in Medford She died Oct. 19, 1992.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea. Alvin was employed by Foremost Foods in Owen, retiring after 40 years.

Surviving him are his daughter, Barbara DeLong of Thorp; son, Jim Bangle of Medford; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Armilla (Jim) Clark of Withee; and brother, Orlando (Margaret) Bangle of Stanley.
