100 YEARS AGO...
Clyde Bobb who was badly burned is now fully recovered.
Prof. A. F. Elmegreen and his wife arrived here Tuesday.
Mr & Mrs. Christ Gorsegner had a son on Thursday.
Geo. Alger won a team of horses which was raffled by Herman Friess.
H.A. Francis is teaching at Chelsea, J.E. Fults at Granton and Jesse Howard at Fenwood.
J.A. Owen was in town with his automobile on his way to Eau Claire.
James Langton, Harry Hendricks and Wm. Clark were alleged to have rifled the safes at Nye, Luck & Hundson and the Thorp Mercantile Co a while back were being held in the new county jail at Neillsville and have escaped.
75 YEARS AGO...
Wm. Ulrey purchased the Jno. Shilts farm.
Lafayette Johnson, age 84, died Wednesday at his home in Stanley.
Mr & Mrs. Adam Zwolinski had a son July 20th.
Mrs. Allen Biship died in Bend, Oregon. She was the daughter of Mrs. Aug. Dulek of Thorp.
Zarada and Drangel had completed the dance pavilion.
50 YEARS AGO...
PFC Thomas Zarada, age 23, was reported killed in Korea.
Mrs. Joseph Trubac, died Friday.
Clementine Witalis and Carl Henderson were wed in Lublin.
25 YEARS AGO...
Asa Leland Sheets, age 82, died July 20th.
Susan M. Koltis and Billie Jo Compton were wed July 10th in Eau Claire.
Nancy Susan Jarocki and John James Jalowitz were wed July 10th in Thorp.
Erika Knops and Phillip Straskowski were wed June 19th in Carol Stream, IL.
Donna Engel and Patrick Witek repeated their promises.
10 YEARS AGO...
Wilfred Haas, age 69, died July 28th.
Esther Smitke, age 71, died July 26th.
Herbert J. Steinmetz, age 75, died July 30th.
Olga Biddle, age 83, died July 29th in Pewaukee, WI
Hope A. Szymanski and Kevin J. Alger were wed June 29th.
Jean Gruba and Gary Miesner were wed June 15th.
Frank (Kolaczkowski) Kollack, age 86, died July 21st.
John & Patti Nowobielski had a son.
