Burss, Mrs. Wm. A. (1848? - 24 Jul 1919)

Mrs. Wm. A. Burss of this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), died at Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire, of diabetes, on Thursday morning, July 14, 1919. She had reached the age of seventy-one years, and suffered severely from her illness for about two weeks previous to her death. Her birthplace was Ohio. She was united in marriage to W. A. Burss twelve years ago, since which time Thorp has been her home. Surviving her are her husband, W. A. Burss, one sister, Mrs. Anna Tuey of Converse, Ind. The funeral took place from her late home in this village on Saturday afternoon last, Rev. George Crow officiating, interment taking place in the Thorp Village Cemetery.

Those present at the funeral included Mr. Burss' family of children and grandchildren, twenty-one in number, except one son who resides in Michigan.
