Bio: Lipinski, Lenny (24 May 1968)

Transcriber: Charles Olson

Lenny Lipinski primarily enlisted in the United States Air Force to benefit from the G. I. Bill. Although he also completed a tour in Vietam, his experience was as an air traffic controller, and he therefore was exposed to much better conditions than those on the front lines. Upon his return to his area, Lipinski found himself trying to assimilate into society very quickly, not talking much about his role in Vietnam. He ended up feeling that those who fought were "the farthest things from heros," and now wonders"...how long it actually took for the general public to know what a raw deal those who fought in Vietnam realy got."
