Whiteman, Emma (3 JUL 1859 - 1 Dec 1906)

Died, Dec. 1, 1906 at her home near this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), of creeping paralysis, Mrs. John Whiteman, aged 47 years, 4 months and 8 days. Emma Tripleat was born of English parentage at Watertown, Dodge Co., Wis., July 3, 1859. She was married to John Whiteman in that city April 27, 1885, and removed at once to Fall River, Columbia Co., Wis., where for seven years they made their home. They then moved to Columbus and lived for two years, after which they moved to Lowell, Dodge Co., Wis., and resided there for seven years and in 1901 came to Clark County, and for the past five years have lived near this village. At an early age she joined the Episcopal Church and as long as her health permitted, been an attendant at the "means of grace." For several years her health has been poor but no one thought the end was near, but after about a week of suffering her spirit took flight. She leaves to mourn her loss, two sisters, three brothers, a husband and three sons, Leonard, nineteen, Milton, seventeen, and Roy, fifteen. The services were held at the home at 10 o'clock a.m., Dec. 4th, attended by many friends and neighbors. Rev. C. H. Towne of the Loyal M. E. Church officiated. The body was laid to rest in the Loyal Cemetery. The family has the most sincere sympathy of the public at the loss of a loving faithful wife and mother.
