Death of Mr. Moffatt

Mr. Lyman Moffatt who was struck by a falling limb last week, expired at his brother’s residence (Alden R. Moffatt), in this place, on Wednesday at 12:20 a.m. He gradually sank from the moment of his injury, never once rallying or becoming more than half conscious. Though able to recognize those around him, he could hold no conversation, nor be made to understand the necessity of his taking food and medicine. Every attention that his friends could bestow were given him, but then could avail no more than to make his last hours as comfortable as possible. His funeral took place from the Methodist church yesterday.
