Jerry Bruzan

Jerry Bruzan, age 66, of 2131 Margaret Drive, Tomahawk, WI, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2001 at the Wausau Hospital Center.

Jerry was born July 20, 1935, in Stanley, WI to the late Stanley and Frances Bruzan. Jerry married Sophie Worobice on September 30, 1961, in Chicago. He had served his country in the United States Army.

Jerry was a carpenter in the Chicago area until 971 and moved to the Nokomis area in 1973. He and his wife, Sophie, owned and operated the Boomba Rar from 1973 until 1983. He was a member of the Little Rice Volunteer Fire Department and had plowed snow in the Little River and Nokomis area for many years. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing in the Prairie Rapids Pool League.

Surviving Jerry are: his wife, Sophie; a grandson, Josh Bruzan of Tomahawk; one son, Michael (Elizabeth) Bruzan of Virginia Beach, VA; two other grandsons: John Bruzan, Devin Howell, both of Virginia Beach and one granddaughter, Kayleigh Anthis of Redding CA; one daughter Deborah Bruzan of Eagle River, WI; two brothers: Clem (Verna) Bruzan of Eau Claire, Jim Bruzan of Stanley, WI: two sisters: Louis (Howard) Zaffke of Arizona and Mary Flores of Milwaukee; Jerry is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Jerry will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home; Tomahawk, WI. The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Prairie Rapids Cemetery.
