Humiston, Jessie (Marriage - 26 JUN 1907)

The wedding of Miss Jessie Humiston and Mr. Edward Davis took place at the home of the bride's mother in the town of York, Clark County, Wis., June 26, 1907.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. L. L. Humiston, while the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Davis.

Promptly at eight o'clock in the evening the couple marched into the parlor and took their places with a march played by Mrs. Belle Mortimer. They were attended by Miss Elsie Seiger, a cousin of the bride, and Jay Davis, a brother of the groom. Rev. Towne of this village tied the nuptial knot.

The bride was attired in a gown of white while the groom wore the conventional black.

After the ceremony which was witnessed by about fifty relatives and friends, the young couple marched into the dining room, where a bountiful repast awaited them.

Many and useful presents were received, which will be handy for them as they will go to housekeeping at once in Marshfield, where the groom has already prepared a home.

The many good qualities of both the bride and groom need not be mentioned as they have lived in that locality most of their lives and are well and favorably known by all.

The out of town guests were Mrs. Solon Grey of Marshfield, Mrs. Grey of Colby, Mrs. Lynch and daughter of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thursden of Iowa, Jay Davis of Wausau and Jessie Davis of Minneapolis.
