Junchen, Louise (Marriage - 8 Sep 1908)

The Grant German Lutheran Church at three o'clock last week Tuesday afternoon was the scene of a pretty wedding when Rev. Keiff the pastor, spoke the sacred words united Mr. Charles Braatz and Miss Louise Junchen in the holy bonds of matrimony. The bridal pair were attended by Ernest Junchen, a brother of the bride and Henry Braatz, a brother of the groom, acting as groomsmen, by Miss Alla Braatz of Wausau, a cousin of the groom, and Miss Selma Meyer as bridesmaids. Immediately following the wedding ceremony the guests drove to the bride's home where a bounteous wedding supper was spread and the usual wedding festivities enjoyed. The happy wedded pair left yesterday for a wedding trip to Milwaukee and other places. Upon returning here they will take up their residence with the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Braatz. Both these people are favorably known hereabouts. The groom is Richard Braatz's youngest son, a young man of industry and good character. The bride, the only daughter of Christ Junchen of the town of Washburn, Clark County, Wis., not so well known to us, but of whom we hear words of praise. It is with much pleasure that we hereby extend out congratulations and best wishes to this newly wedded pair. (News)
