Mr. and Mrs. George H. Ray left for Gardner, Maine, last Friday evening, Mrs. Ray having learned that her father was seriously ill. Mrs. Ray’s stay will probably be for an indefinite period - Mr. Ray will return as soon as it is practicable for him to do so.

Lyman V. Squyer, principal of the Humbird school, and wife spent last week in this locality, the guests of Mrs. John S. Dore. Mr. Squyer is a graduate of the State University, and an able teacher. Mrs. Squyer is a relative to Mrs. Dore.
