Simpson, Maggie (27 Augl 1836 - 14 Mar 1910)

Died, at her home in the town of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. on March 14, 1910 at one o'clock, Mrs. Maggie Simpson at the age of seventy-three years.

The deceased was born in Columbia Co., N.Y., on Aug. 27, 1836, and was married to L. M. LeRoy on Sept. 28, 1859, before the war. In May 1866, with her husband, who enlisted in the army in 1862 and received an honorable discharge on July 10, 1865, they came to Wisconsin and settled on the farm where she died.

To her the struggles and burden bearing of earth are ended, and we confidently trust that like one who awakes from a troubled dream she has awakened to see life's endless morning break. Her home instincts were strong here in this fevered world of disappointments. Her affection for friends and kindred was tender and abiding.

She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and a daughter, Mrs. J. F. Garvin of the town of Loyal.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock and the remains laid to rest in the M. E. Cemetery.
