Walsh, Ethel Allen (6 Sep 1878 - 1 OCT 1911)

Ethel Allen Walsh was born in this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) Sept. 6, 1878, died at Roswell, N. M., Oct. 1, 1911, at twelve o'clock noon.

She lived at Loyal, Wis. during her girlhood days and with her bright winning ways was a favorite among her friends. She was married to W. J. Walsh, son of George Walsh of Mondovi, on June 29, 1898, to which union five children were born, Gladys, aged twelve, Drucilla ten, Wallace eight, Allen and Alice, the twins, aged four.

Ethel, as she was better known, was a beautiful, noble character, a devoted loving mother and when her health began to fail three or four years ago it was a crushing blow when she was obliged to give up home and her little ones to regain her health, yet she gave up everything to make the fight of her life with a determination that never wavered up to the very last. She was always cheerful and so hopeful, and everything possible was done to restore her health, yet she could not be spared to us and we must resign ourselves to the great truth, "God's will not ours be done." Her sweet smile will always be dear to those (The rest of my copy was cut off)
