Catlin, Elva (Marriage - 8 May 1912)

Wednesday evening, May 8, 1912, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Catlin, occurred the marriage of their daughter Elva to Mr. Andrew Lewis of Richland Co. The wedding was a quiet one, only the relatives of the contracting parties being present. After the ceremony at 6:00 the party sat down to a delightful wedding supper. Mr. Pearl Catlin acted as best man with Miss Edna Oestreich as bridesmaid. Mr. Lewis is a prosperous and exemplary young man, a member of one of Richland County's leading families, while the bride is a popular young lady of the town of Sherman, Clark County, Wis. They are well suited to journey together and their many friends wish them bon voyage. They left the same evening to take the train to Richland Center, near where the groom is settled on a fine farm.
