Weissborn, Richard (1869 - 30 Jul 1915)

Richard Weissborn, a well known and highly esteemed resident of our village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), died last Friday morning, July 30, 1915, at 2 o'clock. Death was due to Brights Disease, with which he had been afflicted for many years.

Deceased was born in Province Brandenburg, Germany in 1869, and therefore had attained the age of forty-six years. In 1896 he was united in marriage to Miss Marie Horn and in 1903 moved to America with his family.

Mr. Weissborn has been a cigar-maker by trade for many years, and when first in America had a factory at Marion and also at Tigerton. Three years ago the family moved to Loyal, where he has been enjoying a good trade. He is survived by his wife and two children, Hattie and Eric, besides his aged parents, one sister and two brothers in Germany.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Lutheran Church, rev. E. Kemena officiating.

Mrs. Weissborn and children expect to remain residents of our village and will continue making cigars.
