Etta, Esther (Marriage - 15 Sep 1915)

On Wednesday evening, Sept. 15, 1915, at 7 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Etta, well known and respected citizens of our village, occurred the marriage of their oldest daughter, Esther, to Mr. Harold Stabnow, Rev. E. Kemena performing the ceremony.

As the beautiful strains of the wedding march, rendered by Miss Mable Etta, floated through the rooms, the bridal party passed into the parlor, which was beautifully decorated with roses and astors. Overhead was a beautifully constructed arch festooned with delicate and fragrant flowers.

The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white silk crepe meter, trimmed with white silk shadow lace and carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Maude Etta, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and wore a dress of green silk crepe and carried a bouquet of roses. The groom and groomsman, Mr. Elmer Etta, wore the usual dark blue serge.

The bride is one of our choicest young ladies and the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Etta. From a girl she has grown up in this village (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), honored by old and young alike. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stabnow of Greenwood and has a host of friends in our village.

Immediately after the ceremony the guests were seated to tables and a bounteous and delicious dinner was served.

The young couple left this morning on their wedding trip, going to Chippewa Falls, Stanley, etc., where they will spend several weeks, after which they will make their home at Greenwood, where Mr. Stabnow has a position as rural mail carrier.

The congratulations on the happy event are numerous and this paper is greatly pleased on this occasion to add its hearty good wishes to those being so freely extended.
