Faulks, Ethel A. (2 Apr 1882 - 27 OCT 1920)

Mrs. Phil Faulks died at the Marshfield Hospital late Wednesday evening Oct. 27, 1920, after an illness of about a year.

Ethel A. Prior, daughter of Albert K. and Julia V. Prior, was born at Lowell, Dodge Co., Wis., April 2, 1882. She came to this vicinity with her parents when six weeks old and so the largest part of her life was spent here. She attended the public schools and in 1899 graduated from the local high school, teaching successful about eight years in the village and country schools.

On April 14, 1909 she was united in marriage to Phil J. Faulks of Waupaca.

She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, two little daughters, Ada Mae, nearly seven years old, Dorothy, aged 4 years, her mother, Mrs. Julia Prior, two brothers, Ray A. and Eugene of Wauconia, Ill., two sisters, Elma of Loyal and Mrs. Jennie Nasheld of Fall River, besides other relatives and a large circle of friends.

She was converted and joined the Methodist Church when a young girl and was an earnest worker in the Sunday school and other departments of the church. She has gone, but only gone on before to that brighter home to be with Him who she loved and served here.

Ethel had a kind and sympathetic nature and a pleasant and sunny disposition that endeared her to all who knew her. Her life, from childhood was one of thoughtfulness for others. In her home life she was wise and practical.

The funeral services were held from her mother's home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with interment in the family lot at the Loyal Cemetery. Rev. J. H. Chatterson officiated. There was a profusion of beautiful flowers, mutely bespeaking the esteem in which the deceased was held.

To the bereaved relatives we extend our sincere sympathy at this time.

The following relatives and friends attended the funeral services of Mrs. Phil J. Faulks on Saturday: Messrs. Ray and Eugene Prior of Wauconia, Mrs. Jennie Nasheld of Fall River, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Faulks, Miss Jean Faulks of Waupaca, Mrs. Zoe Smith and Miss Mary Faulks of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. E. Montgomery, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reek, Mr. and Mrs. J. Nuss and Mrs. C. Rasmussen, all of Waupaca, also Mr. and Mrs. Deeringer, Mr. and Mrs. Tomar, Mr. and Mrs. Moorey, Mr. Bidwell, Mrs. Hilden and the Misses Hilden of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. George Schaller and daughter Leta of Veefkind.
