Hoffman, Mary M. (Marriage - 22 OCT 1919)

The marriage of Miss Mary Magdalena Hoffman and Mr. Theodore J. Brill was solemnized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby, Wis. on Wednesday morning, Oct. 22, 1919, at nine o'clock, Rev. H. Lachnit officiating.

They were attended by Miss Clara Hoffmann and Mr. Arthur Hoffmann, sister and brother of the bride.

The bride wore a gown of white messaline and georgette, trimmed with silver beads, and carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and sweet peas. The bridesmaid was dressed in a gown of peach colored satin, trimmed with white braid and silver beads, and a maline trimmed black silk velvet hat with a peach colored plume to match the gown, and carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and smilax. The groom and groomsman wore suits of navy blue serge.

After the ceremony the bridal party went to the Lukowicz studio where pictures were taken. They then drove to the home of the bride's parents, where a bountiful wedding dinner was served to near relatives of the newlyweds. The tables were beautifully decorated for the occasion with smilax and sweet peas.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoffmann of the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., and is a most estimable young lady. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Brill, also of the town of Hull. He is a hardworking, conscientious young man and commands the foremost respect of all his acquaintances.

Mr. and Mrs. Brill left Thursday on their honeymoon, which will be spent at numerous places in the southern part of the state. After Nov. 10th they will be at home on their farm in the town of Hull.

This paper joins with their host of friends in offering them heartiest congratulations.
