Greenwood News Chas. II Hommel was married, this morning to Miss Elizabeth Poppe, and immediately started for his home in Dakota. Hank was one of our most substantial young men, and in this new venture in life we wish him much joy and happiness. He has recently disposed of his farm near this place and intends to make Dakota his future home.

We saw H. LeRoy, of Thorp, in town to-day. We thought we detected just a little remorse for leaving Greenwood. We wish him success, which he richly deserves, at Thorp. No better mechanic can be found in the country. Mrs. Bowerman, who has been very sick, is reported convalescent. Mrs. C Honeywell is rapidly recovering from a severe attack of congestion of the lungs. Mr. Chas. Carpenter is very sick with consumption. Mr. Burch, of Galesville, has taken charge of Jones Bros. & Co.’s mercantile interests. It is evident that e understands the business. We are glad to note that he intends to make this place his permanent home. W. B. Warner intends to move on his farm this week. Il. Eastman has employed in his wagon shop as experienced workman from Sheboygan county. We did not learn his name. Work on the new bridge across Rock creek, south of this village, is commenced
