A cowardly assault was made July 14 on the person of Henry McGraw while hunting his cows about half a mile from his house. The would-be assassin fired two shots from his place of concealment, one passing through the boy’s hat, the other taking effect in his left arm. The boy was taken to Unity to have the wound dressed, the extent of which we have not learned. No clue to the assassin yet.

Attention Comrades There will be a meeting of the soldiers and sailors of Clark County at the Court House in the city of Neillsville, Aug, 4, 1882, 2 P.M. to make arrangements for a reunion on the 9th of October. A full attendance is earnestly desired.
