Bird, Helen (Marriage - 15 Jul 1926)

A.C. Wharfield, judge of Marshfield's municipal court, and Helen Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tesmer of Colby, Wis., were united in marriage at the Central Methodist Episcopal Church at St. Paul at noon last Thursday. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. F. A. Lore, Mr. and Mrs. Wharfield returned to Marshfield and will make their home at the Mansion House temporarily.

Mr. Wharfield, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Wharfield, 601 South Vine St., is now serving his second year as judge of municipal court. He was elected to the office in 1925, succeeding Atty. R. E. Andrews. In the municipal election this spring, Mr. Wharfield received the hearty endorsement of the voters of Marshfield for the office of Justice of the Peace to fill the unexpired term of the late Charles Hahn.

In April of this year, Mr. Wharfield became a candidate for the office of state assemblyman to succeed E. E. Royce, but withdrew from the contest a few days ago. In addition to his court duties, he is also engaged in the real estate business.
