Rev. Mr. Ebert, German Lutheran Minister in this city, has opened a German School in the building north of Delane’s hotel. We understand it is well attended. He will also have an evening school in the same building for such pupils as cannot attend during the day. Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

THE NEILLSVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT: Our citizens are taking hold in earnest in organizing a Fire Department for this city. A hose company and hook and ladder company have already been organized, and an Extinguisher Company is now being made up. When this is completed we will have regularly organized resistance to the fire king when he puts in an appearance, and the most effective work can be done. Hose Company No., 1, has the following list of members and officers: Geo. Ludington, Foreman; J. W. Hommel, 1st asst. foreman; Frank Breed, 2d asst.; Jos. Morley, Sec’y; E. M. McConnell, Treas; L. M. Sturdevant, Henry Kloph, Sol Jaseph, Geo. Ure, Frank Davidson, R. M. Campbell, Chas. Kemmett, G. R. Henry, J. G. Schmidt, H. W. Brown, and G. R. Klopf.
