"A very pretty wedding took place in the M.E. Church at Neillsville on Thursday August 21, 1930 at 11:00 a.m.when Miss Margaret A. Niman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lige Niman of Greenwood, Wis., became the bride of Mr. Glenn Shupe, son of Mrs.Julia Shupe of Loyal, Rev. Lambright officiating. The bride and groom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fahey of Owen, Mrs. Fahey being a sister of the groom and this day also being Mr. and Mrs. Fahey's anniversary. The bride wore a most beautiful gown of new blue and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. The groom wore a conventional suit of blue. The guests who attended the wedding ceremony were parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Lige Niman, Mrs. Julia Shupe, mother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fahey of Owen, Wis., Mrs. Will Marks and children of Dunkirk, New York, Mrs. Augusta Boyer of Proctor, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Gust Krause of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Vernard Kauffman of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Raab of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Davel of Loyal, Mrs. Hasting Baird and children of Granton, Misses Mabel and Elsie Shupe of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Trindal of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Roehl and Mr. and Mrs. Jim McConnell of Greenwood. After the ceremony the bridal couple accompanied by the guests and Rev. and Mrs. Lambright were taken to the Merchants Hotel where they were served an elaborate dinner by the brides parents. The dining room and tables were decorated in pink and blue ribbons and pink gladiolas. Two large angel food cakes, the gifts of relatives and friends graced the table. Much credit is extended also to A.P. Murphy and staff of the Merchant Hotel for the wonderful dinner they served and the many kindnesses shown to the guests. After dinner the bridal party drove to the home of the bride where they spent the afternoon visiting. The groom is a fine young man and grew up on a farm near Loyal, afterwards moving to Loyal where he was employed by O.W. Trindal, later being promoted to the position of manager of the Trindal Elevator at Spencer. The bride is a charming young lady and grew up in our vicinity. She attended our state graded school from which she graduated and later graduated from high school at Proctor, Minn. She taught 3 years at the Mack school in the town of Loyal. Then became Principal of the Eaton Center school. The young couple left for a wedding trip to the Dells of Wisconsin. They will be at home to their many friends at Spencer after Sept. 1st, where the groom will carry on his work as manager of O.W. Tindal Elevator Co. The best wishes of their many friends go with them and we wish them happy years of wedded life and the best of everything."
