Betty R. Stoddard

Betty R. Stoddard, age 51, of Neillsville, and formerly of Black River Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 13, in St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield.

The former Betty R. Olson was born on Sept. 19, 1952 to Georgen and Ethel (Butterfield) olson. Betty was raised in the Taylor area.

She married Robert Stoddard on Dec. 20, 1969 in Merrillan. The couple lived in Merrillan and Black River Falls. They later divorced. Betty has lived in the Neillsville area for the last several years.

Betty was employed at Northern Engraving and at Sparta and at the Auto Shop of Black River Falls. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Marshfield.

Survivors include two daughters, Candace Hubbard of Withee and Jolie Stoddard of Greenwood; four granbdchildren, Brittany O'Neill, Trista Shoemaker, and Derek and Justin Hubbard; her fiance, Elvis Presley, of Neillsville; three sisters, Sharon (Arlee) Titel, of Chilton, Charlotte Puckett of West Bend, and Edith (John) Demerath, of Westfield; a brother, John, of West Bend; and her ex-husband, Robert (Kathy Straight) Stoddard of Black River Falls.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, a daughter Stephanie, and a sister, Dorothy, and a son-in-law, Brent Hubbard.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. from Faith Baptist Church, Marshfield, and also on Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls.

family and friends are invited to call at the Buswell Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 p.m. until services.
