A party from Neillsville went up to Al Turner’s farm in the town of York to pick berries. They had picked their pails nearly full and placed them in, as they supposed, secure places, but upon going to them they found that a certain party, a resident of Tork, had been there and swiped them. They know well who the berry thief is.

J. J. Shafer of Colby, w. H. Tufts of Whithee, Harry Mead of Longwood, H. S. Mulvey of Loyal, R. H. Gile and Mr. McCormick of Merrillan, G. W. Crandall, Orin Wilson and wife, Robt. Huyck and wife of Humbird, H. W. Varney and wife, James and John Bryden, Silas Dewey and wife, and E. H. Thompson of Greenwood, August Broker of Lindsay and many others from the surrounding country came to this city Tuesday to attend the funeral of H. N, Withee.
