Alfred Hinkelmann

Alfred H. Hinkelmann, 76, Spencer, died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose officiated. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Brighton, Marathon County.

Alfred Herman Hinkelmann was born on March 27, 1927, to Herman and Elsie (nee Schmidt) Hinkelmann. He married Mary Zettler on Sept. 21, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. He worked as a milk and cattle hauler, as well as working on various dairy farms and was employed at Wicks Building. He enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, where he served as an elder, and was on the church dartball team. He was also a veteran of the Korean conflict.

Survivros include his wife, Mary, Spencer; one daughter, Sharol Hinkelmann, Marshfield; four brothers, Walter (Pat) Hinkelmann, Edmund (Reva) Hinkelmann, Arden (Alice) hinkelmann, and Gerald (Kay) Hinkelmann; two sisters-in-law, Marie Hinkelmann, and Ida Hinkelmann.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Herbert Hinkelmann, and Ewald Hinkelmann; and one sister, Gerda Hinkelmann.

Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
