Nicks, Elsie M. (8 SEP 1910 - 24 Jul 1927)

The deceased, Elsie Mae Nicks, was born at Knaranzi, Minn., Sept. 8, 1910. From there the family moved to California and later to West Liberty, Iowa, at which place the father preceded her into eternity. Two years after the death of her father she accompanied the family to Wisconsin on a farm near Curtiss, Clark County, Wis., where they have resided ever since.

She was one of a family in which always abounded a spirit of happiness and cheerfulness. She was one whose cheerful spirit no doubt reflected joy upon those with whom she came in contact. Her friends and this community greatly feel the loss and it was a shock to them to hear that she had passed away.

Some time ago she had an attack of appendicitis and was later taken to the hospital at Chippewa Falls, where she died on Sunday morning about two o'clock, July 24, 1927.

The deceased leaves to mourn her loss, her mother, Mrs. Grace Nicks, three sisters and one brother, Mildred Geary, Faye and Wava Nicks and Walter Nicks. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Lehman, two uncles, Charlie and Percie Lehman, one aunt, Florence Lehman. Also her brother-in-law, Clarence Geary, and a niece, Betty Geary, her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Lehman; all of who were with her at the time of her death. Besides these there are many other relatives and friends who mourn her death.

Funeral services were held from the Reformed Church Tuesday, July 26, at 2 p.m., Rev. Rorenan officiating, with interment at Riverside Cemetery.
