Nichols, Katharine A. (20 JUN 1875 - 1 Sep 1928)

Mrs. William B. Nichols, a resident of this city (Owen, Clark County, Wis.) for the past fifteen years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Bender, at Colby, Wis. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 1928, after a lingering illness of many months of cancer.

Mrs. Nichols was born in the town of Sherman June 20, 1875 and resided with her parents until her marriage to Mr. William B. Nichols. After their marriage they moved to Thorp, Clark County, where they resided for a time and then later took up their residence in the town of Maplehurst, Taylor Co. Fifteen years ago they came to Owen, and since then she has made this city her home. Mr. Nichols preceded her in death four years ago.

She was the mother of three children, Harold of Wausau, Mrs. Harry Bender of Colby and Irving of Kenosha, all of who survive. Besides her three children, she leaves to mourn, three sisters, Mrs. Hiram Proctor, Owen; Mrs. C. A. Youmans and Mrs. Emma Wegner, Loyal; and two brothers, Phillip and Jacob Kissinger of Spokeville, besides her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Kissinger of Loyal.

Funeral services were held her on Tuesday afternoon from the First Congregational Church, Rev. W. P. Powell, pastor, officiating, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
