Haigh, Ada J. (27 FEB 1861 - 23 JUN 1929)

Ada Josephine Haigh passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. E. Maynard of Minneapolis, Sunday morning, June 23, 1929, following a paralytic stroke. She was born at Arcadia, Wis., Feb. 27, 1861, and was united in marriage to Jeffery G. Haigh in 1878, who was then pastor of the First Methodist Church of that place. To this union two children were born, Elsie and Elizabeth.

She spent the later years of her life with her two daughters, having resided the grater part of the last 24 years in Owen, Clark County, Wis. She was a woman of strong Christian character, a faithful and loving mother, and a true friend. She was very much interested in the church and the Kingdom of God and its advancement.

She died very suddenly at the home of her daughter, Elizabeth, in Minneapolis, and her remains were brought here for interment. She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. L. B. Chabot of Owen, and Mrs. L. E. Maynard of Minneapolis, one granddaughter, Mrs. Josephine Rufer and gread-granddaughter, Medrean Rufer, Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held from the Congregational Church, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. W. P. Powell officiating, and her body was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Those attending the funeral services from out of town were: Mrs. L. E. Maynard and Mrs. Josephine Rufer and daughter, Medrean, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Pierre D. Holcomb, Eleva, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Maynard, Sr., and Richard Maynard, Dresbach, Minn., A. B. Chabot, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Redard, Mrs. Ernest Redard, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Pauley, all of Chippewa Falls; and Mrs. Ira Martin and daughter, Valera, Spokane, Wash.
