Vilinda Schneider

Vilinda M. Schneider, 94, Neillsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11: 30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003 at St. John's Evangelical Church, Neillsville. The Rev. Timothy Biebert officiated. Music was provided by Sharon Nemitz, organist, and the St. John's Lutheran Church children's choir. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee.

Vilinda Mathilda Schneider was born April 22, 1909, in Milwaukee, to William and Mathilda (nee Zuehlke) Haupt. She married Earl G. Schneider on April 22, 1939 in Milwaukee. They lived in Milwaukee until 1995, when they moved to Neillsville. She was a member of the seniors group at the Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, the Granton Busy Bees Homemakers, and the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville.

Survivors include one daughter, Bernice (Robert) Cords, Granton; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerhard Haupt, Menomonee Falls, and Frank Haupt, Sussex; a sister, Selma Graham, Menomonee Falls, and a sister-in-law, Delores Haupt, Ellsworth.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Earl Schneider; a brother, Henry Haupt; and a grandson, Jerome Cords.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
