Jesse Martin

Jesse J. Martin, 20, Chili, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, after a long battle with Ewings Sarcoma. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 15, at Rembs / Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. John J. Trewyn, of Christ Lutheran Church, Chili, officiated. Burial was in the Yolo Cemetery, Town of Fremont. Pallbearers were Mike Griesbach, Jay Loos, Jon Peek, Jesse Morrison, Jeff Martin, Nick Martin, Bryce Draeger, and Justin Kummer.

Jesse J. Martin was born March 22, 1983, in Neillsville, to John and Joan (nee Dankemyer) Martin. He graduated from Granton High School in 2002. After his schooling, he worked briefly as a mechanic. His interests included fishing, hunting, playing cards, and racing all types of vehicles.

Survivors include his parents, John and Joan Martin, Chili; three brothers, Jamie Martin, Jeremy Martin, and Jacob Martin, all of Chili; one sister, Jada Martin, Chili; one niece, Taylor Martin; one nephew, Jordan Martin; his girlfriend, Amy Schueller; Marshfield; paternal grandmother, Rose Martin, Chili; maternal grandparents, Ken and Joyce Dankemyer, Chili; and his self-adopted grandmother, Mae Revak, Lynn.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, Robert Martin; and his self-adopted grandfather, Carl Revak.

Rembs / Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
